As â€Å"The Grid† becomes dim and â€Å"The Son Of Flynn† opens with an arpeggiated synthesizer, audience members get their first taste of Daft Punks mix between their own interesting sound and old style music. Despite the fact that most of the tracks on â€Å"Tron: Legacy† use a great harmony between the two styles, a portion of the tracks influence one way or the other, radically changing the state of mind of the piece. Tracks like â€Å"The Game Has Changed† offer an only old style instrumentation while changing the percussion area into a progression of amazing electronic hits, running through the eardrums and taking focal point of the dismal strings covered up underneath. Despite the fact that the London Philharmonic Orchestra gives the entirety of the string game plans, their actual element goes ahead â€Å"Adagio for Tron. † Sounding somewhat like Hans Zimmer’s â€Å"Hummel Gets the Rockets† from the soundtrack for â€Å"The Rock,† Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo of Daft Punk utilize his track as a methods for flaunting their ability with arrangement, complete with a straightforward, yet wonderful cello solo. As the state of mind obscures, the music jumps further into the electronic domain while as yet keeping up probably a few parts of a musical ensemble. This contributed to its growing economy and political superiority in the world. The links between international relations and the oil industry is evident is several aspects. These include international trade, foreign policies, the issue of sustainable development and environmental conservation. The oil industry affects the world’s economy directly, and this is reflected in the manner crude oil prices affect the foreign exchange prices and prices of commodities internationally. Thus, the global oil industry affects international relations directly. Despite the huge amount of oil reserves owned by the developing countries in Middle East, Africa, and South America, the producing companies are from North America and Europe (Marc Baaij, de Jong, and van Dalen 791). The complexity of drilling oil had made it difficult for national governments to invest directly in the business. The governments made a deal with producing consortia who are directly inv olved in the drilling and exploration of oil reserves. The major oil producing companies are about seven in the world, and they have formed a cartel to protect their interest and have a bargaining power against governments (Marc Baaij, de Jong, and van Dalen 789). The Economist identifies the major producing companies as BP plc(United Kingdom), Chevron Corporation(United States), ExxonMobil Corporation (United States), Royal Dutch Shell plc( Netherlands and United Kingdom), and Total SA(France)(1). These five companies are today referred to as â€Å"supermajors† because of the huge control they have in the oil industry (The Economist 1). These companies started their dominance in the oil industry in the 1950s, and they have rapidly grown to hold control of their entire global oil producing industry. However, there is an indication that the control of the major oil producing companies is dropping as National Oil Companies are taking over the production of oil (The Economist 1) . Oil Industry and International Politics The oil industry is tightly linked to politics because of its importance to the economies. The oil exporting countries want to get the best value for their products while the importers want to have a guaranteed supply of oil at affordable rates (Hillebrand 737). At the region level, Middle East is in focus because of the large oil reserve possessed by several countries in the region. Most of the countries in the Middle East depend on oil exports to sustain their economies(O'Hagan 44). The countries in the region also have a common culture based in Islamic laws. This has helped the region to develop a strong bond that helps them to bargain with other countries. For example, the United Arab Emirates consist of several Emirates in the gulf region that depend on oil. Their unity has enabled them to create a large economy and bargain collectively on economic matters (Odell 315). Luciani also notes that call for pan Arabism is gaining more support as the Arabic oil producing countries are seeing the point of coming together as a strong union (97). The Middle Eastern region has also experienced conflicts because of the oil. The 1990 Gulf war was initially a dispute between Iraq and Kuwait. This was before United Nations collation forces led by United States went to support Kuwait against Iraq. Iraq invaded Kuwait claiming that possession of some oil-producing region. Iraq was also not pleased because Kuwait was overproducing oil contrary to their OPEC quotas agreement. In the 1970s, there was also conflict between Iraq and Iran. The source of the conflict was also on the rivalry between the oil rich countries in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia, which is the biggest producer of oil in the region, has in all the conflicts being non-partisan. Even though the Saudi kingdom supported Iraq, they avoided being involved directly with the conflict. The international politics surrounding the oil industry has been the most interesting. Th e United States has been at the centre of most political situation touching on oil and international relations. Eagleton-Pierce and Roemer-Mahler argue that United States as the economic superpower seeks to protect its global interest (6). Among its chief interest is the protection of oil supplies across the world. This has made the United States keen on influencing the international relations in the Middle East. The economy of the United States highly depends on fuel. Despite efforts to reduce the use of fossil fuels, the country still, depend on it more than any other source of energy. The oil reserves of United States have dropped drastically since the 1980s; this makes United States be depended on oil from Middle East (Lawrence 67). The United States has tried their best to be diplomatic and in good terms with the major producers of oil, especially Saudi Arabia and the UAE. However, the involvement of the United States in the gulf war in the 1990 and lately in 2003 show that the country is ready to use force to protect its interests in the region. Frieden, Lake and Schultz argue that United States does not explicitly show its interest in the oil-producing region but uses excuses such as protecting the interest of Israel in the region or other countries (87). The issue of global security has been of concern to the united states because of its terrorism that seem to have support from some countries in the Middle Eastern region. The invasion of Afghanistan in 2001 was justifiable by the war on terror. However, the Iraq invasion in 2003 was believed to be a way of taking control of the region's oil industry by eliminating the influence of Saddam Hussein regime(Sherr 20). Apart from the United States, other developed countries have also showed interest in the oil industry. Luciani identifies the United Kingdom and France as some of the US allies that have been actively seeking to gain control of the oil industry (82). Unlike Russia and United States, which prod uces, oil, France and United Kingdom depends on imported oil. This has made the two countries, and others in Europe to maintain good diplomatic relationship with countries in the Middle East. The Middle Eastern countries also need the support of the oil importers. This makes them reach out to the large importers of oil in Europe to secure markets for their products. In South America, Venezuela is the largest producer of oil. Lawrence states that the country has used this position to exert its supremacy in the region (61). Children are often considered carefree and innocent, which is the reason behind their state of happiness. They rarely cross paths with conflict from the outside world, but what happens when they become men and are sent off to fight in the war? Otto Dix’s visual representation along with the poems, â€Å"Suicide in the Trenches† by Siegfried Sassoon, â€Å"Dulce et Decorum Est† by Wilfred Owens, and â€Å"Blessed Are† by Charles Peguy all capture the horrors and distress caused by World War 1. When it came time to enlist in the war, young men were ecstatic about becoming heroes by the act of serving their country. The story is about a prisoner being bullied and intimidated by the two prison guards and eventually the prisoner dies as a result of the bullying. It is called swansong because the movements the prisoner uses are bird like movements and the fact that he is isolated and trapped like a swan. There are not many costumes or props but the t-shirts that they wore were to signal who they were, and the main prop was a chair. It was used in all sorts of ways, as a shield, a weapon and also a questioning chair. The music and electrical effects are vital because the music shows the mood and the lighting shows the sort of movement and setting. Section 1  The tap dance is the main dance used in section 1 because it is used as a question and answer sequence. The section begins in silence then the interrogators enter and begin to dance. By the end of the dance it turns out being a duet versus a solo. The speed changes throughout the sequence and lifts, balances and twist are applied. Also different levels are used as the interrogators begin to play silly mind games. Section 2  In section 2 the violence begins and there is a change in the music and the props are changed and used to more effect on behalf of both the interrogators and the prisoner. But something that was consistent throughout was that the interrogators continually questioned the victim by returning back to tap.  Section 3  In section 3 there is the first solo of the piece and there is lots of emotion delivered in the solo because the victim begins to show how upset and abused he is feeling inside. Section 4  In section 4 the interrogators force the victim into dancing in a trio with them. But it is a trick as the guards are always in control and a dark atmosphere is created by the music and the interrogators actions. In this section the chair once again is used to create a different sort of effect.  Section 5  In section 5 the second solo is performed. It is done in silence to create a strange sort of atmosphere. Also the prisoner uses the chair in many different ways: as a safe heaven, prison bars, boredom, hope and a few other ways. The dance is performed in silence because it means that there isnt any music to do the movements and the movements are very much like bird movements Section 6  The bullying gets to its most serious because different weapons are brought in to the dance and huge crashing sound effects are used for the creation of the atmosphere. Repetitions of movements are used frequently and so are facial expressions. Eventually the victim is murdered and his spirit is set free and the lighting helps create the atmosphere.  Section 7  This is were the last solo takes place but it is exactly the same as the first solo, only this time with much more flowing movement as a symbol of freedom. While Napster does not condone copyright infringement, there is no opportunity in the software to stop this, or for royalties to be paid to artists whose songs are being duplicated for free. Unlike similar file-sharing applications (Gnutella, Freenet), Napster limits users to uploading/downloading of MP3 files only. These files are compressed wave (.wav) files. The advantage of MP3 files is that they are approximately one-tenth the size of the corresponding .wav file and can be close-to-CD-quality. It is for this reason that many artists, record labels and other music industry stakeholders are concerned by the MP3 file format and applications like Napster that simplify the sharing of copyrighted material. Other file formats in common use on the Internet are not as threatening to the recording industry; primarily due to the reduced quality of the recording. Real audio (.ra, .rm) files have reduced sound quality (comparable to radio) and are usually streamed over a different protocol, allowing people to listen to songs without having (or being able) to download the source files. Another 'music' file format common on the internet is the midi format. These files are of no threat to the music industry because the files are not actually a recording of the music; rather a set of instructions to the computer as to what sounds to play (and there is no way to duplicate vocal tracks). The process of photosynthesis occurs in my chloroplasts. The chloroplasts are large, complex, double membraned organelles. They also give the cell the color of green. Chloroplasts have their own individual mini-cells and own DNA. My chloroplasts produce oxygen and glucose as a byproduct which the mitochondria uses to produce energy in the procedure of cellular respiration. The mitochondria is like a power source to me. It takes the glucose and oxygen from the chloroplasts and batters it down to provide chemical energy or ATP. The chloroplasts and the mitochondria are both found in my cytoplasm. The cytoplasm is all things in me that are not an organelle. They are located just inside the cell wall and cell membrane. The cell wall provides structure and support for me. The cell wall is fabricated with a thin layer of cellulose. The cellulose is a polysaccharide made of many glucose units linked together. Just inside of the cell wall is the cell membrane. This part of my body gives an extra layer of protection and keeps things in and out of me. The cell membrane is mostly made out of lipids. The cell membrane is also permiable to water. Water can slip in and out of the cell easily through the cell membrane. This process is called osmosis. Within the cell membrane is my nucleus. The nucleus acts as a brain to me. It contains DNA and RNA which operate together to build and control the cell. The nucleus is a small tiny cell within me. It has a double membrane. The nucleus?s job is to produces proteins which a re carried by my endoplasmic reticulum. The nucleus has its own layer called the nucleoplasm. The Nucleoplasm is made up of proteins and RNA which help in the formation of ribosomes. The ribosomes are minuscule organelles which take RNA from the nucleus and produce it into protein. . Connected from the ribosomes are the endoplasmic reticulum. The endoplasmic reticulum is a series of membranes and is located in several parts of me. These are all scattered throughout the cell and always attached to the cell membrane. Also from the endoplasmic reticulum are the golgi bodies. They take protein and wrap them in a membrane. They are discovered all over me. Lastly in my body is the vacuole. The vacuole is an organelle with no internal structure. It works as a storage place for me. It is located in the center of me. Overall my cell is extremely complex with many parts. My model has tried to concur with it and resemble it as best as can be. My model is made up of cardboard, balloon, paper, gum, screws, and shipping fragile objects material.
